While trying to find anything from China that may state the new releases for 2011 I stumbled across the factory that makes Fender, Gibson, Ibanez. Squier, Jackson, and a load more. You have to see this.

None of the categories are what they say they are.... Look at all of it and you will see guitars you know and love...

Not sure if this is supposed to be on the web or not... I guess we will find out.

If you look up that factory in Google... you will see that Fender and Squier actually use them to make our guitars.. That isn't a bootleg factory... There may be plenty out there, but this isn't one of them.

I don't think they are tying to sell to us. I think it is more of an informational website for manufacturers to pick them to do their China manufacturing. I could be mistaken. The website itself is pretty lame. lol

I posted this just for entertainment value... Not for people to want to buy from them.

I just bought my first guitar: Strat HSS Squier Affinity. The box says, "Hand Built in Indonesia."

Oh, and this is my first post :D

I'd have to disagree. They have photo's of Ibanez Prestige models on that website. I believe all Ibanez Prestige models are MIJ.

I have two Indonesian Squiers, a '51 and a Vintage Modified P-Bass. I think that both are very nicely made.

The hardware on the '51 is a little cheap (which I can accept at the price point) but the necks on both are very good and I think the VM is a great bass for the money.

Congrats on your new Squier. I'm sure it will serve you well.

Hahaha!! That is totally photoshopped. Such a poor job at it. Crazy that these people sell anything.

I have all my guitars fitted with 3 half-tone-pots and one volume pot...don't you? I get 50% more tone that way.

Moreover, I string them up with 8 strings cut in half. That way I get plenty of mojo plus the full sizzle.

haha classic, except your maths is wrong because the middle half tone pot is wired parallel using the cutoff's for extra sizzle, but you get exactly 3.5 (tone pot) * .5 (string length) / 8 (strings) extra resistance in the circuit because of this.

Having said that, you gain sizzle, and 8 is a lucky number so it's really up to the individual players tastes.

But that really prompts the question "If I like playing Death Metal, Blues, Country and James Taylor-esque Acoustic Songs which should I get? the Chinese Strat with the 3.5 tone circuit and 8 string sizzle mod or the Chinese Telecaster with the 3.5 tone circuit and 8 string sizzle mod?"
