"This guitar is one of the most advanced examples that has ever come out of the Fender Custom Shop, using a combination of inlay, graphics, and multi-laminates of rare woods.Todd Krause conceptualized the guitar from the aspect of a person standing on a dock looking into a koi fishpond.Utilizing quilt and flame maple for the water illusion, abalone and pearl inlay for the fish, as well as airbrushed shadows to create a 3D illusion, this guitar is truly a work of art in itself. It is an exquisite example of the Craftmanship of Fender's best."

Words from the Fender Custom Shop Guitar calendar January 2010 commenting on this guitar.
Masterbuit by Senior Masterbuilder Todd Krause in 2008
Inlays by Ron Thorn
Airbrush by Dan Lawrence

Dude!

....Its awesome! I can't believe how 3D looking those koi are. The attention to detail is quite frankly astonishing. The frets look as if they are floating off the board!

Thanks for sharing this Alain.

You Rock!

Andy

What a wonderful guitar Alain!! It does look 3D. The fish looks just like he is swimming under the frets!!! Wow!! Thanks for sharing my friend!! :)

Absolutely Breathtaking and a true work of art!

Just wondering, would those frets be Dunlop 6105?

Stunning guitar, even the back seeing the Koi between the wood, truly stunning all over

That is beautiful, in fact I would have to say the picture in the calendar doesn't do it justice at all.

Guitar as work of art, indeed. i think the water on yours makes it the nicest of the three.

Congratulations Alain, and thanks for sharing the photos!
