2007 USA Fender C Shop Classic Strats come with 2 "Modern Classic Single-Coil Pickups (Neck, Middle)"

I got a couple of these and put them in one of my late model Strats and love them. I've looked everywhere and can't find what they are specifically because I would like to put them in another Strat of mine.

Anyone know what they are so I can find a couple more???

Also: I did not care as much for the "hot" bridge pickup. Is there a Modern Classic pup that is more similar to the other two?

Thanks!

Aside from keeping a eye on ebay I cant think of anything else you can do. I have to say their one of fenders unrecognised greats in terms of pickups. I cant think of anything that compares to them after spending some time with them.
The only other option I can think is to contact fender for the spec's of that bridge pickup which was wound hot. Then take the specs and your neck and mid pickups to a specialist pickup builder. Bareknuckles will build the pickup you want but their in the UK. Surely America must have a equivalent.

Micksoldstrat. Thanks for the reply!

Lindy Frailen will wind anything and he is here in VA. He did some custom humbuckers for me for a goldtop (using full sized humbuckers) and they are ungodly.

If I knew what to tell him he could knock them out for me but I'd rather just get these again. They are sweeeeeet. I had a guy at the local music shop wire them in for me and all the guys there were slobbering so I think Fender might be missing a marketing opportunity here!

I didn't like the hotter bridge pickup. It's fine but I think it can be better. Lindy makes a '69 Woodstock that is reversed like Hendrix that are interesting, but they put a base plate in it and I'd rather hear them stock. I may pick up a bridge "Kenny Wayne Shepherd" and try that but I've got a pile of pickups I've tried and it's growing!

CHeck ebay, there is a seller called "reliablefender" who always has all kinds of Pups for sale, so I'd check him first.

Thanks dbr2026!

reliablefender is where I got the ones I have!

They are a great source though, but no 2007 classics on the board right now.

I'll keep my eye out...

Please remember that bridge pickup is a slightly different beast. Two modern classics in the neck and mid, a hot classic in the bridge.

Honestly mate good luck on this expedition. I personaly think fender have missed up on a great sale here, by not making them available aftermarket.

If you ask for specs in the Ask Mike Eldred forum, he may well 'spill the beans'.

Rewire your switch so that the bottom tone control effects the BRIDGE only. They (strat bridges) are kind of harsh and trebly and going down to 5-7 on the tone really makes a difference !

The other tone can be wired to effect the N&B.

let me know if you need the diagram, it's a popular mod !!

The Modern Classics/Hot Classic in my Custom Shop Custom Classic:
Neck: 5.80 (black plain enamel wire)
Middle: 5.86 (black plain enamel
Wire)
Bridge: 6.00 (bright copper wire/baseplate)

IMO one of the best pickups Fender has made.
