Hey guys. Just got my first Fender amp. It's a 1995 Princeton Chorus PR82 with 2 10" speakers. I love the sound! I know its solid state, but after some research, reading reviews, and playing different amps, it seemed like a good fit for me. It has that clean sparkle that I love about Fender amps
Drive channel is good for rock, and I havent figured out the limiter yet, but I think the best feature of this amp is the stereo chorus.
My last few amps have all been all tube, and I am a suprised at how good this amp sounds.
I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with these amps?
Also I am strictly a bedroom player so I cant vouch for how It holds up on stage, but I would imagine this amp wasnt designed for that anyway

My friend recently picked up one of these and he left it at my house for a while so I got to play around with it. The chorus and reverb are definitely top notch. I found it difficult to dial in something usable on the drive channel but that could just be my style not matching what it was designed for.

It might make a good backup for gigs. I wouldn't make it my #1 as it sounds kinda "boxy" when you get the volume way up there, but I'm sure it would be fine miked.

I had one of these for about 10 years. Loved it. Played a Strat through it. I found it a bit too loud for home use (at least when playing with a reasonable amount of gain) so usually just used the Clean channel and a Boss Dual overdrive pedal for distortion at lower volumes.

The stereo (and also the twin 10" speakers) give it a really big, FULL sound. I never played around much with the Presence and Limiter but apparently they can be tweaked to have quite an effect on your sound.

All up it was a good amp which I kinda wish I hadn't sold.

:D I have a Princeton Chorus amp and have loved the sound. It really sounds good playing an electric/acoustic through it. I don't know the year model and have used it on a house gig. (had to mike it) What are they worth now?

I have seen them go for around $150. I paid $175 for mine.

It's my favorite Fender Solid State model and arguably the best sounding SS amp they ever made.

You ought to hear it with a old Toneworks 1000 pedal and the full stereo effect coming through the twin amplifiers... Awesome sound!

I have lead a worship service in a 200+ seat venue and had to turn the amp down so it didn't blast out over the top of the PA...

Not Rock Concert ear-bleed volume, but plenty of punch that everyone heard it in a room full of singing voices...

When I'm playing in public it's my number one, the Champ gets dragged around for practice and jamming with friends<G>

I paid nearly $300 for mine... from a Fender Dealer/Certified repair center (and friend) and it was in like new condition... (OTOH, my demoed Champ 200 was only $125)
