I went to St. Louis to see Morrissey with my girl and recognized the guitarist as Jesse Tobias (RHCP for like a minute and Alanis Morrisette) but was wondering if anybody here knew what the Fenders are that he plays. The ones in particular that I'm interested in are the semi/hollow bodies he plays. They don't have any of the usual Fender headstocks and have like 5 control knobs. Sorry I don't have a pic to post, but I haven't come across one yet. I'll post one later if I find it.

Ooo, old Starcaster. Sweet guitars that never really caught on.

He had like 3 different ones he switched between, 2 bursts and a white 1. I think he used a Tele one one song. They all sounded good though.

That's pretty wild. Most people that are lucky enough to have one usually have just one. This link had some good info on them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_Starcaster He's listed on there too.

That's pretty interesting, I'll have to keep my eye out for one. I really like the way his sounded and looked. Being as they were/are not a popular choice, it may be within reach financially.
