Thank you Marky and Gary. When ever I forget (which is a lot) I try to remember that one.

These days
as they come with welcome light
then as they go into the night
show memories of life
inspire the glow of insight
and flash by as fast as they did then
wouldn't you know
like a jet
as it will fly up to it's cruising height
these days, are flying by, ty ttyl

I like it, Rollie.

Don’t you sometimes wish that time that flies by so quickly would come in for a landing even if to stand still for a brief moment?

Whoops! There it goes again.

I miss Frankie The Kid.

FrankieTheKid wrote:

"Gather all your papers torn and scattered on the floor.
Tape them back together like they were the day before.
Cover up the seams so you can’t see them anymore.
Paint them pretty. Hang them up on the refrigerator door.
Pouring out my life like the sand that’s in my shoe.
I want to change the world but I’ve got better things to do.
Sitting on the potter’s wheel, perhaps I’ll take a spin.
Touch me while I turn and you can change the shape I’m in.
Looking at the picture from the painter’s point of view,
Everything looks good except this tiny bit of blue.
So tell me what it’s like to be the fly upon the wall,
You know, the one who flew off laughing – laughing – laughing.

(See Jeremiah 18:1-4)"

Frankie,
laughable, supposed, hardly
crumpled paper floors
from here to there, then over to the door
pick them up
perhaps smooth them out
might they look then like before
or better than the spinning world
Gods potters wheel
touch the picture change the look
point of view, everything
except this tiny bit of blue
except this tiny bit of blue
"tell me what it’s like to be the fly upon the wall"
You, FrankieTheKid, know what it’s like
you communicate Bro

Agreed.

A beautiful skillful work of art. Thanks, for the contribution, Frankie and the post, Rollie.

The Game

Ever buy a brand new car?
Flashy gauges, leather seats
Satellite with thumpin’ beats
Big display to show a map
Who cares to check the stuff that’s crap?

Ever buy a new TV?
Really big and very clear
Full connections in the rear
Lousy blacks and smearing face
The TV apps that won’t take place?

Ever buy a new cellphone?
That never seems to work quite right
And can’t be seen in outdoor light?
A camera front and back is nice
We’re not alone is my advice.

Ever buy a new security system?
Wi-fi cameras placed to see
Us for them and them for we
Social mics to do our deeds
To meet our wants, and fill their needs.

Grocery shop much?
Pacific shrimp is just a name
Phoney meat is not the same
Self checkout to make a dash
The plan to stop us using cash.

We all have paid and come to play
This crazy game to fill the day
The times have changed, it’s quite a show
You win, you lose, and now you know.

YMMV

Thanks, my friends. Appreciated.

Just a quickie. I remember when looking under the hood and under the car used to be the center of attention when we installed or updated our own automobile media systems. Motivation was different then, so was the technology, and sales staff were more challenged. They use to sell cars and present a lifestyle. They might have thrown in a two tone body colour, more standard chrome, or a fabric roof too. Now they sell lifestyle and present a car. We used to take ownership and now they lend it because we’ll be back to the shop as weekend mechanic work is now in their high tech garage where we are oblivious out of necessity, Our cars were our haven. Not so much today as we willingly hand over more information than thought or discovered. It’s as simple as turning on or plugging in long story short,

I found that extra installed media apps and features on TVs are not a given (especially on this side of the border). Some are region specific, no longer available, or unsupported because of contracts or hookup or lack of. Image is king (makes sense); however, on board audio speakers are often lacking without concern because home theatre is promoted as an excuse to give the consumer less (at times) with compromised on-board speaker quality (not like our fathers’ sets or those with subwoofers or attached speakers). HT is not always practical. We have the luxury of buying into the bundle so we can be surprised later. Unfortunately, unlike some of our foreign friends, we have the same choice of TV enclosure colours as the model T Ford - Black.

Expensive smartphones, as good as they are, have difficulty and are found to be mediocre or terrible as phones when compared to, for example, a StarTAC. They are IMHO, for a large part, poor audibly in noisy environments, and call displays (old school bright red led dot matrix was
amazing) are less than satisfactory for bright outdoors. A clam shell or partial clam phone or a longer phone could add this bright led feature with today’s design. A suitable brighter OLED or LCD would be even better. I used to have 3 mobile batteries for my phone. One in use, one spare, one charging. Now I have one inaccessible battery. Phtt!

Security and grocery technology yada yada.

Anyhow, thanks Rollie and Marky. It really wasn’t much, and could, I suppose, be endless. Progress can be great when it’s progress except when it isn’t, and methinks that’s trending.
Cheers,
Gary
