It's interesting. There are some tribes in the Northeast where every few generations another crop of kids is born with blonde hair and blue eyes in spite of the fact that both parents are natives. They talk of Viking blood entering the bloodline and not always by force.

C/S,

Thanks, for that history lesson, Rev’. I hadn't heard that until now. Really interesting.

My ancestors are Irish and can be traced to the first century A.D. Vikings were game changers on the Emerald Isle, and there were inter marriages. I was born blonde and blue eyed, loved to camp, lived in the Northeast, and presently wear a Viking ship Gaelic ring; but, I don’t look like a native, and I ain’t as brave as those dudes, contrary to the family motto with a burning sword
I’ll have to look into that. :P

Here’s an idea for a book in case anyone wants to tackle writing it.

A book about the funniest crazy ideas bouncing about to tackle climate change.

I almost drove off the road (which would have taken one more gas run set of wheels off the road) when I heard some dude pushing his book. He said that a fella should dump his girlfriend if she lives out of town. He didn’t say if twin cities count. :P
He went on to say it would be more environmentally responsible to look for a girlfriend closer to home so you don’t have to fly or go the distance polluting the air. Oh, and find a local girl that will walk or bike.

What if she’s ugly, ornery, 60 years older than you, or is the only girl in town amongst the suitors?

Don’t get me wrong. I married a great local girl that didn’t meet any of those standards after I moved 1500 miles before I met her; but, I think that guy is sucking on an exhaust pipe. He probably thinks you can run a car on crystals. ROTFL

FSB

I know there’s a lot more “Are you kiddin’ me?” climate change funnees like this. Somebody get that La La Land dude outa the dumber (Oops! I meant summer) heat or put an umbrella hat on his cabbage head. Ha ha ha. Bong! (Dang! I meant Boing . . . or did I?)

What I haven't read is all 33 pages of this thread. One book that I keep going back to is Jordan Peterson's "Twelve Rules for Life". It's a serious read and is the self proclaimed "antidote to chaos". Published in 2018 it has since sold 2+ million copies, and a follow up is expected for 2020. Dr. Peterson tours the free world speaking to large audiences in sold out venues.

 Nice one, FSB. I do prefer local girls that deliver. By that, I mean come over to my house. Maybe that's why I haven't had a date in four years. I'm catching up on some "Premier Guitar" issues.

I think I have the answer to your dating issue, Marky. Maybe, if you put those guitar issues down and pay more attention to those local girls that may change the environment.

 Yes, that would help. Part of the problem is that the girls around here are either too young or too old (like 110). Now where do I find a nice 35 year old dime that's unattached. :lol:I'm still reading "Premier Guitar".

 Yeah, right. I know this is a “Whatta ya readin’?” topic; but, are you sure you’re reading those guitar mags and not checking the centrefolds :?:
. . . and don’t tell me a story, :? I’ve seen those babes that used to hang out in the rod and custom periodicals. I think I have both mags around here somewhere. Say . . . did you see the guitars on pages 38, 24, 36?
