Hello Fellas;
I am happy to tell you the wrist surgery is over and I am on the road to recovery. They had to put in a titanium plate and seven screws to hold the broken bones together so they can begin healing. I am home and resting,...got out of hospital day after surgery which was this past Wednesday. I am able to move my fingers around,but not my entire wrist since it's in a cast/splint. At this time I don't know how having metal in my wrist is going to affect playing,but I hope PT takes care of that. Will be off work four to six weeks.

Dewey, that is good news. With all of that metal in hand I imagine motorhead jamming might be in future rehearsals. :D

Sorry about that,...but yes,...it was my left wrist that was broken! I pick/strum with right hand,...chord with the left hand. I am right handed!

Best of luck. Do everything they say at rehab/PT! Sending Mojo for a 110% recovery! Might help to think of Les Paul and his car crash that wrecked his entire arm. He overcame that, so you can get through this!

Yes,I read that story about Les Paul. I appreciate your words of encouragement as well! :)
By the way,...an update;
I went to the doctor this morning and had the stitches removed and a new cast/splint put on. X-rays looked good,...just a matter of time on healing and recovery,and following the doc's advice. PT/rehab hasn't begun yet,though,but will soon.

I'm glad to know that everything went well and that you are on your way to getting back to normal.Make sure that you stick to whatever exercise or therapy regimen that the P.T.s set out for you as that is the most important part of the healing process and don't overdo things as many people do,thinking that more is better-that is far from being the case,too much exercise can cause fatigue and consequently undo any progress that you may have made.I hope that your playing gets better than ever after the healing process.
