Can someone tell me how I can get this sound on my bass? You can hear it best at around the 1:23 mark. Thanks!

 Piece of Cake! Just get a Fender Precision (such as the new DeeDee Ramone signature http://www.fender.com/basses/precision-bass/dee-dee-ramone-precision-bass/0141302305.html#start=1) and a Fender Rumble 500 http://www.fender.com/bass-amplifiers/rumble/rumble-500/2370600000.html#product-grid=&start=1. Use the built in overdrive. Play aggressively with a pick (all downstrokes). Easy Peasy.

Thanks for the input! I have a precision already but don't have the Fender Rumble. What I do have is this
http://www.ampeg.com/products/bassamp/ba-108/

Any way I can get that sound without anything other than that amp? I don't have enough money to buy any pedals or anything.

An Ampeg amp will get you the sound you are looking for...but not the one you have, it doesn't have enough power. I would say you'd need something with at least 150-200 watts. Yours only outputs 20 watts. That is a "practice" amp, and not really intended for public performance, not for punk rock anyway.

I have an older BA-115, and it barely gets the job done at 100 watts. Ampeg is what has always been the standard for that classic "punk" sound. A Fender, as was suggested, with enough power will get you something very close too.

Unfortunately no. A decent overdrive/distortion pedal for bass is going to run well over the cost of your baby ampeg. If you aren't playing in a band or jammin' with friends, go to a music store and audition a Fender Rumble 40. It has the very same front end and overdrive as the Rumble 500, and only costs as much as a good pedal! I know you say you don't have money, but you're going to to spend money to get that sound. I would advise you to avoid all things ampeg like the very plague itself as they are highly unreliable. Their reputation for catastrophic failure is well deserved.

Fender Rumbles have taken the bass world by storm, and are the market leaders. They have an enviable 13 year history of rock solid reliability, and a full five year warranty. The Rumble 40 is a true peach of an amp. For $200 you get the best bass overdrive in the business plus a great sounding 40 watt 1x10 combo. Are you getting a free $200 pedal with your new amp, or are you getting a free $200 amp with your new pedal? Any way you look at it, you win!

As far as just a straight tone, run everything FLAT and you'll have that perfect 70's punk tone... then when you add distortion or any other effects it'll just make it sweeter.. I fought for YEARS trying to get the right tone and just over thought it way too much... when I flattened everything out voila.. perfect Circle Jerks bass tone lol
