I might go ahead and look. It's always nice to have options, even if you don't need them. :P

Yep. It doesn't hurt to see if you have any options, weather major, or minor. I haven't seen any that would appear to fit mine, but that's really ok, I do like the the entire looks of it as is from Fender.

Yeah, I'm pretty set with mine, too. Unless something really freaky shows up for an option that I can't pass up. :P

The Precision PG pot hole pattern on my PJ, doesn't match up with 10 hole PG's I've seen. The only pot hole that does line up, is the Jack hole. There is no top volume hole cut as high as this one has. It's a four hole pattern. Image

I've just found this site: http://pickguards.com/#aboutus Maybe they have options to have one made, since it seems to be a custom shop.

I looked around over there. I'm ok with what I have on the PJ. Interesting site though.

Yeah, I guess if you want to get a funky custom pickguard job, that might be the place.

I haven't seen much of anything on PG's for the Mustang PJ's. Another bass I like as is.

I do recall seeing pickguards for Mustangs, but the original ones, not the new style with the P and J pickups.

Mustangs have been around for a while, so it would be logical PG's for those to be more plentiful.

Yeah, they have, in some incarnation or another. It's a great alternative, if you want or need a short scale bass, I think. I have to say, I wouldn't mind having one. 8)

I liked the Pawn Shop series Mustang I had. But I do have to say, I like the Mustang PJ series more. The Humbucking on the Pawn Shop did have a nice power to it, but I think the PJ has a better overall sound, and the through the body can be a pain with the strings. I'm honestly not missing the string through the body on the Fender basses I have now.
