That's cool. You have a chance to play around with it yet?

The only playing I've been doing, is playing catchup around the house. I should maybe do some Sat.

I know what you mean. I have to get ready for another one of those potentially heading my way.

If the tract goes to it's projection, you should be doing ok.
Things are slowly getting back to normal around here. A lot of big trees went down in Irma's outer bands. Kinda get's that way, when you're on the right side of the storm, like we were.

There were a lot of trees that went down around here when we had that winter blizzard that was kind of like a hurricane in 2011 and was a huge mess with the power out throughout the whole city. I suppose the advantage of that, is those huge trees can only get knocked down once, so you don't have to worry about them again. At least, until new trees eventually take their place, which takes years and decades to do.

Sat. came and went, and I'll have to wait till sometime maybe Sun. to play the PJ. At least it's like Felix always said, "Ready, PLAY!"

Yeah, hopefully you won't get anymore with all of that other activity going on with this stuff. I still have to wait and see what Jose is going to do up here.

You know, I've had GAS for that Gibson bass, especially the original batch from the 50's. Of course, that's probably one of those things that you'd get if you won the lottery. :P They aren't cheap, if you can even find one.

Today was "Ready, PLAY!" Day. I played the PJ Precision through the Bassman 500 / Bassman 115 Neo. It really brought out the Precision's growl, better than most other bass amps I played a Precision through. I tried both channels on the head with the Precision, and they both sounded good. But, I kinda' prefer the Vintage channel, over the Overdrive channel.

Yeah, overdrive or distortion on the bass is something I've never utilized a lot of. Actually, pretty rarely. Once in a while, I might mess around with it, but I like to have a cleaner tone. I do use a chorus pedal as part of my sound, but that works well with what I'm doing. I like the sound of it, anyway.

I usually go with the Vintage Channel, and a low bass tone. I think I do remember the Acoustic 360 head had a fuzz, or distortion setting on it.

Yeah, I think some of those Gibson basses had a fuzz circuit built in, as well. Maybe Vox, too.

Now that you mention it, I believe so. I'm liking the Precision through the Bassman setup.

Yeah, you certainly have some options, between the Precision and the Jazz.

Yep. The Jazz is a Beast. I like the sounds the PJ puts out as well. I'm more in favor of the Precision sound from a PJ. Using the Jazz pup as somewhat of a fill in. Really nice.

I haven't really been experimenting with the pickup setting on my Precision, just kept everything wide open. I'll tell you one thing, I've been putting a lot of time on it and I've been totally digging it. The weird thing that's happened to me, is the skin on my left hand fingertips has started peeling off, like when you get a sunburn or something. It doesn't hurt or anything like that, but it's strange. Maybe it's because I'm using rounds, which I haven't done in a few years and it's messing with the calluses or something?
