I'm still impressed with my AS Precision, the build quality on these instruments.

OK, you still have the Precision. For some reason I thought you dumped it. Just trying to keep track. :P

I still have it. It's very playable, and I like the grain in the fretboard.

This guy has been getting more playing time as well. I don't know why I like this more than the Am. Std. PJ Precision I had, but I do. Maybe because of the 70's pups onboard, in place of the CS60's. The Sea Foam Pearl finish, is nice too.

I chose to keep this one over the Am. Std. Precision. The sound is good, and the feel is right there also.

I've tried one of those green pearly PJs lately, very nice sound to it. The store had it going through a Fender Rumble 500. Punchy to say the least.

I played mine through a MarkBass combo at the store, I was very surprised at the sounds it put out. QC is great on it too.

If it sounds as good as it looks, then you have a winner there. 8)

I kept it over the Am. Std. Precision. It's nice.

I think the added J pickup gives you extra tonality, too. I've had pretty good results with that set up.

At one time I may have selected an MIA, over the MIM. But with some of the specialty, or signature basses coming out of the Mexican plant, these basses are really top notch all the way around. My Spl. Edition PJ Precision, and Mustang PJ, are MIM, and are really something hands down.

That's good to know they've been doing good with that. Some of the Squiers aren't too shabby, either. Sometimes they might need a little tweaking, though. I was impressed with some demo videos with the Squier P Bass, but of course actually playing them is another test. They all aren't going to be exactly the same.

Sounds like a Precision on the horizon.
