Raising those two, the Gain, and the Blend, was just what it needed to make this Precision talk. A Fender through Fender does seem to work pretty well.

I've always taken a bit more time tuning in a Precision, then Jazzes. The pup on this Precision is very cooperative too.

I'm curious, what do you do with the stock strings on these basses? When you traded or sold them back in, did you put the originals back on, or leave the nylons on them?

I use to leave strings on even longer than that, but I'm going to try to replace them a lot sooner these days. Maybe once a year tops, if heavy playing use. It depends.
