Hi all,

I recently bought a 1972 Precision Bass that's pretty beat up but sounds great. However, the control knobs on it are definitely not the kind that usually come with P-basses - they're gold-painted plastic of some kind, almost like a Gibson speed knob.

I want to replace them with the proper knob-type but don't know whether I want knurled knobs (part #0991366000) or dome knobs (part #0992056000). Does anyone out there know which type of knob originally came with '72 P-basses? It's Lake Placid Blue with a maple neck, if that's any help. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the chrome plated knurled knobs have been stock on Precisions since day one, and you can buy them almost everywhere.
