Hello Fender lovers; It's been a while since the last time i wrote on the forum.
I have a question, i want to buy a new bass, (I have an american std p bass five string) but now i want a four string;
I've searching around the local dealers of fender, and i'm interested in two basses :shock: and i just can't decided; the thing is between a Nate Mendel P Bass and a Roger Waters P Bass, i know they have the same pickup (Seymour Duncan SPB3), but they are quite different though, the Nate Mendel has a road worn-ish finish, and a slim neck ('71) and a Leo Quan Badass II, and the Roger Waters P Bass has complete black body, with no other changes except for the brass nut, and a maple thick nut;
Sooo, here's the deal, i play rock, punk and funk (Slap Included), and i want to know wich one of these two basses is the best for my playing/sound.

P.D. I like the sound of the open overdrive in the bass, with a pick.

SEE YA!

Pick the bass that feels right to you. Either bass will do the job.

If that doesn't do it for you then pick the one that costs less.

The best advice to give really :). Though hand on heart my own choice would go to the RW bass, only because the neck is bigger which I like.

I like the Nate Mendel version the best. The neck makes it, and the new Fender Hi-Mass bridge is actually better than the now defunct Leo Quan BAII.
