Being a new boy in these here parts I thought I'd say hello and introduce myself by showing you this, my '55 P It was refinished in the very early '60s in Taos Turquoise a colour used by Caddilac. The knobs, control plate and pots are newish as is the pup (a Seymour Duncan Antiquity II but apart from that she's as was.

Some nice bursts and custom colors here... but I still think mine is the prettiest one I've ever seen:

1997 American Deluxe in Shoreline Gold. Yum, yum. Something about the deluxe body shape and the color makes it look very lean and space-age to me.

I replaced the stock P-pickup wiht a Fender "Original '62." Awesome tone, and a great blend with the stock jazz bucker.[/img]

A lot of very nice P-Basses to look at!
Right now sugarbeet's turquoise '55 and mr pablo's classic burst with the maple 'board are causing excessive GAS and drooling. :D

Hey! Hi! This is my first post! Here is a pic of "Big Bertha". She's a 1978 Fender Precision that I picked up at a pawn shop in 1982 for $400....hard shell case and all!

This is not the original pickguard but I have the original still. Thanks to my big footed lead player, who stepped on my cord at a gig and cracked the guard at the jack, I had to replace it with the tortoise guard. The original was triple black. I use Fender FlatWounds and love them.

I want my kids to bury Bertha with me when I die but my son said he will take it out of my casket at the last minute! Can you feel the love??? Anyway, here I am sweating up a storm with Bertha at an outdoor July 4th gig! And yes, that is a Fender BXR300 amp that I am playing out of and yes, that is my Ibanez EDA-900 there too. I hate that bass!! LOL! Why do I hate it? BECAUSE ITS NOT A FENDER THAT'S WHY!
