I myself have two of the four string American Deluxe P's and one five string. I was just wondering if you can really notice much of a difference in the sustain/ tone with the Badass III?

Well I can say he's going to notice a difference if he changes strings. That E string is not wound very well.

I got 2 new p-basses. 1 p bass special custom painted and a p bass standard rebuilt to look just like a '57. Both with some of my favorite mods. As soon as we get some nice sunny weather around here I'll get pics and post them.

I hear you, I've never been a big fan of the tapered strings, but sometimes if you're going 'string-through-body' they are the best way to go.

I'd go for the tortoise-shell pickguard or something. Great p-bass by the way!

Where did you get the single-ply black pickguard for your bass? I ordered one from Warmoth but it doesn't look very good.

Wow, what a pretty bass! 8)
I got it from WD Music.
I highly recommend this place. A great product and excellent customer service.
