As long as you don't sell your Fenders to buy it.

Here's my Fender lineup - from the left, a Jazz 24 in tobaccoburst finish (this was an impulse buy - stopped by Guitar Center when these first came out, wandered into the bass room and stopped dead - I had NEVER seen a Fender that looked like this before!), 2008 American Standard P Bass in classic Sunburst/Maple, and my 2008 American Standard Strat (this too was something of an impulse - I went to a small music store for the matching Sunburst/Maple combo, and this Sienna was right next to it - one look at that Ash grain, and that was it for me!)

Nice collection pbassbob, post pix of the LP too. Heck, a great guitar is a great guitar, no matter who the manufacturer is.

I'm done for now. In a few years, as in many years, I'll try to save up for an Icon or maybe Fender 24 5 string.

PS. not to thread jack, but Jlarocho, how do you like your Carvin set up. I'm thinking of doing a Carvin, but with the 4 x 10 and 1 x 15...

That's the great part, light. If I do go with 4x10 and the 1x15, can I use the 600w or do I have to go the 1200 route?

I used a Carvin Pro Bass 300 head(300watts) with the Carvins 410 and 115 before and they worked fine , and even with 2 Hartke 410 transporter cabs .

this is my old rig (Carvin /Hartke) and my latest rig(Peavey/Carvin) .

nice, real nice. I have a Hartke Transient Attack 5000, and the cab is KMD 2x8 and 1x15.

Not a bad set up. I like the cab a lot. Also the head is pretty versatile for what it is.

That is a nice cab combination . I had the Hartke 3500 head, remember the first Hartke amps ? But I traded it for a Crate 300 watts head and then I sold that one to a friend and bought the Carvin rl600 head but it died and so I got the Peavey Tmax .The Hartke head is a versatile amp but in the beginning I had some reliability issues and thats why I traded it . If my Tmax dies I will get another Peavey head . With speakers I always trust Carvin and Peavey . I had SWR but didnt work out for me .

I've heard the same sentiment on cabs as far as Carvin or Peavey too. I know Ampeg has good cabs, but they don't work well with other head - only works well with Ampeg heads.
