Indeed I will.
Actually I am kinda jealous cause Bassman101 has got a new '08 and all I have is an '07. Mmmm, maybe a trade-in coming soon?

It's a great bass. I know there's somewhat of a general bias against newer instruments with some people, but I couldn't be happier with my choice. Well, maybe if I had another $10K and bought an Alembic or a Status, but hey. We live with what we got, right?

This thing plays great, just got the action almost as low as it's going to get, which of course has meant time in the woodshed tweaking my playing style. A stiff new set of Rotosounds helped too, I think. God, I love these strings. Oh, and the bass. :D

Nice bass, Zod. But if you really wanna Rogerize that bass, you gotta get the all-black single ply pickgaurd. :) I'm a big Floyd fan, saw Rog in 2007 five rows from the stage, center. Fantastic show, though I do think he relies a little too much on his guitarists to play the bass parts sometimes. He needs a new solo album.

'75 P bought for $200 and mooded to J-P-J in '80 by Mark Arnquist.

Seymore Duncan QuarterPounders, 3 stacked vol w/ tone ring, BadAss II, brass nut, Volvo kill switch.

Was working in cover bands at the time and wanted the best of both worlds.
Had Stu Hamm "Urge" beat by at least 15 years! haha

PennyP and I have been through thick and then some!

True about the pickguard, I had bought one and really didn't like the look of it so I got the B/W/B. He does need another album.

precisions are the bees knees, forgot about jazzes (although they are nice) they dont stand a chance, think mr harris and mr butler, plus countless others.
The sound is the best in the world.
I personally dont do effects as i think a bass should sound like a bass, there is no better sound.

I play straight through also, but the key of using effects on bass is not to make it obvious that you are using an effect. Most effects are to make the sound of the bass more punchy or more whole. I only use the eq on my head, but w/effects on the bass is just to mask some imperfections of the sound it self.

That's mine.
2005 MiM P-Bass, but set to USA Standards.
The pic does it no justice, the finish is a purple-to-blue color shifting.
Sad thing is, in 3 years I'm the third owner.....hopefully it'll be the last time it's sold, 'cause i'm not ever letting it go anywhere.

Here's what I have planned:
-DiMarzio Pickups
-Black Pickguard
-Vintage bridge/cover
-And, if I get this far, a new finish, if I find one like the Ford Mystic Cobra Mystichrome paint.....although i'm debating a new finish, or just complimentary gold hardware to match the purple/blue...
