At around noon today the UK Mail van arrives at work with my new bass setup :D . I am now the proud owner of a 2014 American Fender Precision in Olympic white / maple neck, with custom shop pickups & a Fender Rumble 200 bass combo 8) . I have always wanted a genuine american Fender precision and now at the age of 47, I do and I can't stop looking at it plus the weight it's so light and the quality is second to none :D . And I don't know why but 1 pickup & 1 volume and tone is enough for me.
The Rumble 200  again so light but so much power & tone, in a small package love the vintage push switch. Before I tried my "New" precision I plugged in my stock 1989 MIK Squier precision & it sounded good through this amp. And the American precision just blew me away, only took a quick couple pictures in my office just for now.

Congratulations luckman67! Great choices. :D

You need to put your photos on a image hosting site, and paste the url inbetween the img tags. It's a pain to have to do it that way, but that's just the way it is. :|

Sounds like a good setup. Congrats and a big salute to all the delivery people that bring us our toys!

To be honest I'm with you 100% on the single pickup thing. I've used P/J's a lot too and have had one for about 10 years. I love the look of a Jazz and keep buying them mainly because they are pretty and it is an impulse buy. Ultimately I never keep a Jazz for long. Once I kept one 3 years but usually it is less than 1 and they just never get played much and I sell them for a loss.

For me a Jazz is sort of like a girl that looks good at the bar and plays winky-winky with me to get my attention for a few minutes....but when it comes down to taking her to meet the parents, she's just not that kind of girl.

The Precision is where it is at for me too. I had to swear off Jazzes. Just a waste of money for me.

Don't get me wrong, Jazz Basses are nice for people that like them. I just like a plain old P-Bass better. Nothing fancy. No batteries. Slightly smaller. I'm good with that. Since I'm OLD most of my early influences played P-Basses. I guess that has something to do with it.

Will look for the photos.

The Rumble 200 is great before I plugged my US Precision in, I plugged in my stock '89 MIK Squier Precision to try and catch the amp out. But it sounded very nice indeed so when I plugged the American Precision, the amp (how can I put this) sounded like an amp that would cost you a lot more than what you paid for it. I really like the vintage push switch it's a nice touch,& I bet if you had flats on your bass it would sound amazing.
