Wow, thank you for the info.

The other body stamp says:
FARAR
33
???

I found a few similar stamps on google images but who knows

The 2 #'s on the pots are 137753 and 032367. And the 250K-A of course

Do you think the brass bridge is original and someone just added the 2 additional screw holes in the front?
I noticed a buzz when the tone is turned up so when I remove the bridge to clean it up I plan to change out the 16g solid ground wire with a 10g stranded and fan it out under the bridge for a better connection.

Astheticaly I like the brass bridge and knobs better than the chrome, so what if they dont match the tuners.

Thank you guys for all the comments

The brass bridge is not original. The bass came with a standard 70's Fender bridge. I think Afprod nailed the changes made to your bass since it was new.

It looks to me that someone changed the- pickup, bridge, pickguard and knobs.

If you can take an in focus picture of the back of the bass, I can tell you if it is a Fender body or not.

Nice bass.

I cannot see the tell tale " birthmarks" which are the plugged holes from the body being mounted on the pin router table. All fender bodies of the 70's have them and it could be that I can't see them because the pictures are not detailed enough although it appears to be a nice looking bass.

The fact that the body is a 4 piece is somewhat telling that it may be a non-Fender body.

I have to say that I can't declare the body to be genuine Fender because I con't see the birth marks.

It still appears to be a very nice bass body and I am sure that it sounds great.
