Yeah, the more I think about it I really think we could combine all the models together and then just have a Lounge and Amp section. I don't think there is enough activity across the 3 model forums to warrant them being separated. Honestly, the "other forum" almost gets used as a lounge now and that's probably a bummer for people who don't play P's and J's who want technical info.

I can usually find something of value in all Fender basses. I wouldn't mind combining the technical model forums into one, and then having the separate lounge for chit chat and stuff. There are probably tons of cool people I've never met because I don't ever go into the J forum. Though I do love J basses, and a few of my favorite bassists have been known to use them. However, they aren't my cup of tea as a player.

Who would this get moved on to at the company to see if it is a possibility? Brad? I wonder what the administrator response would be?

Well a PM to BT might be in order- I guess it's worth a try. The next pole should be "Should we message Brad about a Bass Lounge" ? For all I know he has prob already seen this topic. You know even though it may be a decent idea and it would clear up chit chat somewhat on the P bass, J bass and all other bass threads and etc. AND even that it has a "100% for" response ratio...... I wouldn't be upset at anyone if it didn't happen. I'm not a grudge guy.

The big thing to me is that The Fender Lounge is basically a Guitar Player lounge. That's okay it's just my opinion. I'm not on here to make waves or force my opinions on anyone in order to get them to do something. That's my wifes' job not mine.

Howdy boys! I say we take this thread or this forum and make it our own Lounge.

I play both bass and guitar and I am happy with how the site is set up as it is. Each major model has it's own section and there's are common areas such as the Fender Lounge ... which is a Fender Lounge by the way. Not a Guitar Lounge. Why do folks think the bass players should be treated differently (ie: shown favouritism) by being given an exclusive separate lounge when guitarists don't have that?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

It might be prudent to consider demographics. Usually a four piece will be two on guitar, one drums and one bass. Obviously, other combinations exist but it's almost always one on bass. That means there are typically fewer bassists than guitarists just by natural selection. And that doesn't even count all the solo guitarists and bedroom guitarists who only wish they were in a group. There will naturally be more guitar related threads in the lounge. That doesn't make it a guitar lounge. It's Fender. Go ahead and post whatever whatever bass related topics you like. What's the worst that could happen? Some guitarist might make a teasing remark about bassists not counting or some other pissyant little BS. Big deal. We're better than that, aren't we? Do we need to hide in some private area? Let's see some bass-pride out there.

I have to agree with you. The numbers makes sense also.

Wouldn't have to..... Welcome guitar players. .... BTW you have to consider that bass players don't talk a whole lot about effect pedals, 12 inch speakers, picks, small extreamly expensive boutique amps, guitar players, Death Metal, tremlo arms, locking nuts, that junk they spray on the neck, Ernie Ball o9's, Marshall stacks, wanker tube discussion, tattoos, hair jell, perfume, lipstick, nail polish,,,etc .....guitar players would get bored and go away...no problem.

So like where's the LIKE button here? :)

That link is proof- nice post Widower- proves the point. Fender underwear? "That's what I want to talk about," said no bass player on planet Earth...ever.
