Plus some of the old stalwarts have become either fed up, bored to tears, or both. Hit-&-run one post wonders that want serious expert answers and often get them, but never even bother to say thank you. Of course the ever popular counterfeiters trying to see if they can slide their fake by the experts and those that have already been duped by counterfeiters.

Yes agreed ... I think more of this is happening lately.

t IS kind of blow to just be checking serial numbers all the time...... What year is my 87 P bass????

This one drives me nuts .. considering if these posters took the time to search this site they'd see in the support section that you can verify the serial number on most Fender Guitars & Basses up to 2012,..... & of course Schematic's for many basses and guitars can also be found in the support section,..... I've read a lot of good advice given to many one time posters who are inconsiderate & never ever even reply back with a hey thanks !!
I also think that in the past a few new people to the forum may have been chased out by some intimidating regulars who can be a little rude....
I mean it's all about having fun & sharing a common interest,.. when we support & encourage each other we then all benefit. :)
except for the WHAT YEAR IS MY P BASS STUFF & IS MY BASS A FAKE?? ...I tell these people search this site & you'll find the serial number & if you're unsure if you have a fake ..then take it to a guitar shop that services Fender's & Many do....& you'll get your answer fast. I also think that there are people who come on here & try to get the worth of a stolen guitar so that they can sell it....

Bringing it back to the top of the topics list. Go ahead and vote if you want to. The voting stops after two weeks from the date of the original post.

okay I understand now why there will be no Bass Lounge. I went to the Fender Lounge and read some topics and posts. Yeah - why would whoever is in charge here start a bass lounge ? Obviously someone would think that to do a bass lounge would cause and create the same type of negative stuff in the Fender Lounge. And yes I prefer to stay away from the Fender Lounge because I'm not interested in most of the items over there. But I don't think a Bass Lounge would invite the type of junk that's in the Fender Lounge. For one... a bass lounge prob wouldn't attract guitar players. 2- bass player regard is low (no pun) in the world of music. 3- anyone else have a theory? :?:

PLUS- NCIP is done. Face it. So as to stay intact and as to not do any harm to what is left of the bass forums I will discontinue pursuing a bass lounge EVEN THOUGH the vote shows 100% in favor. I now return to my status of unsure and willing to go on to new things. I do like the Fender forums though. :)

Well, it's safe to say I'm the biggest $@! in the bass forums. Compared to what goes on with the egos that most of the regulars in the other forums frequented by guitarists I think the Bass Lounge would be pretty laid back.

I have to be honest. Given the low traffic of the bass forums on this board. (Including the amp section) I honestly think the Forum moderators could reorganize this board so where the bass amp section would be part of the bass forums and then combine the models and add a lounge. So it'd look like...

Fender Basses
Fender Bass Amplification
Bass Lounge

I have to say that I'm really surprised at how low the participation here is. Fender basses are obviously still hugely popular. What can ya do?

KOP- good idea and solution as to where a BL would go. Nice. Maybe it's not that far fetched. BUT I WILL SAY that anyone talking about adding a bass lounge (Fender guys) the first thing that will come up will be "Well if we add a Bass lounge then are we going to have to add a guitar lounge- will we have to add a amp lounge- a banjo lounge. a lounge lounge. We already have a lounge!!!! I say pull up your big girl panties and give the damn bass players thier lounge. Okay I'm banned.... HA!!!!!!!!!

It may not hurt for bass players to do more bass related subjects in the lounge section, as the 6 stringers do. It would hopefully show bass players on the forum exist here. Image

I tried that- didn't turn out too well. I think the 15 years olds swarmed on me or something like that. They do that. Just try and go to a video game site for information about a game and you'll see what I'm talking about. They can smell you coming. And don't ask me what I was doing on a video game site............. NASCAR dude.......

But I love Fender Stratocasters! We're the same age! Born 1954

I think my "Gibsons Suck" thread required a couple o' thousand donuts.

It's slow in here because we all own Fender Basses and are happy laid back musicians who don't feel the need to show off on every level... therefore we're all content and chill lol.... If you own a Fender Precision, what more do you need?
