I've been treating 'other Fender Bass' as the Bass Lounge for whatever. There is just not enough bass player traffic keep things lively. Pity.

I know-- this is the the third day and there's only 8 votes!!!!! I guess I knew it was pretty dead around here but that's not hardly enough votes to get anybody excited. Oh well. There used to be a ton of traffic and then like Brother Dave said- it started to slack off . Now we're down to this. I was going to go away there but I thought I'd give it a go before just hanging in the "no sign in" background.

It IS kind of blow to just be checking serial numbers all the time...... What year is my 87 P bass????

Some people have chased new guys out of here, and they tell their friends, don't go into the Fender Forums site.

Plus some of the old stalwarts have become either fed up, bored to tears, or both. Hit-&-run one post wonders that want serious expert answers and often get them, but never even bother to say thank you. Of course the ever popular counterfeiters trying to see if they can slide their fake by the experts and those that have already been duped by counterfeiters.

I've wondered about the guys with the basses that they say they just bought and want to know if they are fake. It would be the way a guy who made a fake bass could see how good a job he did for sure. Maybe we shouldn't tell them what's wrong with those guitars and just tell them to take them to a shop.

Someone (not me) should open a topic= " Is This Precision Real Or Fake"?? Then post a pic of some old beat up Tiesco Del Ray. Nice. Then we tell him it's real. Definately a Fender Precision. :D

Question. How are you going to keep guitar players out?

Put a piece of sheet music in front of them.

Wouldn't have to..... Welcome guitar players. .... BTW you have to consider that bass players don't talk a whole lot about effect pedals, 12 inch speakers, picks, small extreamly expensive boutique amps, guitar players, Death Metal, tremlo arms, locking nuts, that junk they spray on the neck, Ernie Ball o9's, Marshall stacks, wanker tube discussion, tattoos, hair jell, perfume, lipstick, nail polish,,,etc .....guitar players would get bored and go away...no problem.

Guitar players are usually scared off by amps over 100 watts also. 8)

I think the most important thing is that guitar players need to have a fan on stage to blow their hair back like Stevie Nicks. It's just a standard part of their gear. OH Boy- I'm in trouble now!!

I'd go ahead and quit voting guys. I have thought about it and I think I'd be better off to just go climb the Himalayas. I think we know that the thousands of man hours and obviously the thousands of dollars it would cost to add a bass lounge really makes it very prohibitive. It was a gallant effort ? I put a question mark there but I don't know why. I say = let's get back to searching serial numbers and wanting colors of basses. Badass bridges need more discussion and I haven't given away a cornbread pans since 1938. All of this is relevant to the History of Man. Don't kid yourself on that. ..What does that mean anyway? I had spaghetti once.
