Hi all,
I was curious what the letters SRS & RW mean in the title of this thread?

I have a 60th anni. 2011 lefty Pbass and it's the first time I have seen it listed as
FENDER AM SRS P-BASS LH RW 3-TONE SUNBURST.
Anyone have a clue?
thanks!

SRS is a commonly used Fender abbreviation for SERIES. RW for sure means ROSEWOOD fingerboard.

The 60th Anniversary models are sometimes listed as ANNIVERSARY SRS, meaning "Anniversary Series." Sounds logical in your case. So long as the word SPECIAL isn't there you have an American Standard that is a little more desirable to collectors who do not already have one as the Anniversary models are limited to that one model year. The AMERICAN SPECIALS started in 2010 and are less desirable than other USA made ones and pretty sure yours isn't a SPECIAL or it would say so in the instrument description you gave.

Another thing you can do is email, mail, fax or phone Fender Consumer Relations with your complete serial number along with what it says on the headstock and get in depth information on your specific instrument from specifications down to the city where it was originally shipped. Their contact info is:

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation
Attn: Consumer Relations Dept.
17600 N. Perimeter Drive, Suite 100
Scottsdale, AZ 85255

Telephone: (480) 596-7195
Fax: (480) 367-5262
E-mail: consumerrelations@fender.com

Good luck! Sounds nice!

thanx Brother Dave, makes total sense to me now,
when I bought the bass last year new, I did send info to fender & got all the info on this bass I just didn't remember the STS before!
thanks again for enlightning me.

I find it amazing how much info comes from you, I'll be 64 next week & in the old days it seemed all I did was play & not think of the stuff everyone thinks of today, you are the man!
