There's a reason for that: the company which supplied Fender with lacquer paint recently went out of business.

Another cause is the global financial turmoil of 2008.....

I think the Affordable Healthcare Act is to blame.

Thanks, Guys

I've now stopped snivelling and have my face pressed to the window! At 113 Deg outside, the window is, well, HOT!

Oh, did I mention I live way out in the 'Outback' of North Western Australia? No wonder it takes 6 weeks to get here. The postman probably can't find the joint on his map!

Play'in my basses and guitars in the aircon is about all I can do after work this time of year.

FENDER keeps me sane, and insane, all at the same time. 'God Bless America' and 'Thank Christ for Australia'

You blokes make the Wickedest Guitars and Basses

Thanks! :D

It's HERE!!!!

Oh, Sweet Jesus, what a beauty - I'm talking about the delivery chick. A real little hottie, and she asked if she could come inside to see my Instrument!!

After I finished choking on my saliva, and managed to squeak out a few words of thanks, she said she couldn't actually stay and drove off into the desert leaving me with the rest of the day to develop that thought into what ever I want it to!

Break out the Jacks and let's get a fretless funky on!

Have a look at this!

The build quality is phenomenal. It has a 2 piece body with an excellent balance of grain structure showing for character, is a good weight without being heavy and the three colour Sunburst/Nitro finish is done so well. I would have been happy to have received a CS bass in this condition. The hardware looks bathed in chrome and shines, brightly. Very pleased. The neck is true and strong and the Ebony is dense and very Black.

Playability is possibly a step up from my 'Other Brand' basses (Not Fretless). All of which are magnificent in there own right. GIBSON, MUSICMAN

If you have been playing fretted for a while and are worried about INTONATION, please understand the marker DOTS on the side have moved directly over the 'Fret Position' and not in the middle of the fret space, then a couple of minutes and your away. I had no troubles with intonation as my fingers go where they are supposed to for finger spacing and position

Tone/Control is nothing short of amazing. If I had stumbled on this set up of P-Bass/Jazz Bridge/3 Pos Selector switch before I may never have bought another bass. Simply a stroke of genius. I do believe the TF Sig Jazz PUP is very much a contributing factor in the mix and sounds wonderful. The 'Drop D' tuner works as advertised but, and this is my only gripe, the retention to E sometimes leaves the tune a couple of cents short of target. I have massaged this system but have yet to get it mastered. Any help on this is welcomed.

Adendum: Maybe it's the new E string stretching each time it is retention? I'll keep you posted on this one.

A musical instrument of Class and Distinction!

This is my first FENDER bass, but will definitely not be my last if this is the standard I can expect each and every time. And I'm talking CS stuff here.

My Chief of Security is in the last pic. Her staff of two bigger brothers are out on patrol and will be home before closing

I've always liked the Tony Franklin Fretless P-Bass,..... what a beautiful instrument,.... Have fun & enjoy !! & how are you managing with out the fret lines? One cool thing about the side markers is that they're placed where the fret lines would be so it helps with intonation & being spot on.
