This may not be the correct forum to post this, but I put it here because I thought more bass players would see it here. No one knows as well as another bassist the challenges we face in live performances.
I'm not a stranger to personal monitors. When I was in the praise band at church we used an Aviom system for several years. All instruments, including the electronic drums, ran through the PA and we didn't use amps. We each had our own little 'board' and could adjust volumes and our own tone. It wasn't a bad setup, but not ideal. I had to wear headphones just to get a decent bass response. Others wore ear buds.

I would like to have a wireless system where I can plug directly into my bass amp. In the effects loop maybe? I would hear only myself in the ear piece, mainly for a little more clarity from the bass rig.
Is something like this even available?
Thanks in advance!

Earpieces in general have sterile flat response which isn't especially bass guitar friendly. The Shure SE535 pair has better bass than others but even that "best bass and everything else in class" pair might disappoint when the price point is taken into consideration. $450 to $550 street. Serious earpieces that cost some serious Jack and that Jack might be better spent elsewhere since nobody hears them but YOU.

True about nobody hearing them but me brotherdave. It would be only for me, so I could hear the more subtle notes and rythmic passages better.
If the Shure set has decent bass response I could get interested in them. Just looking for something to give these old ears a little help in those less than desirable rooms we sometimes play in.
Thanks for the tip about the Shures! I'll check em out.

I don't rec. soloing your bass part in your "in-ear monitors."

It is very hard to stay locked in with a drummer or other musicians if all you hear is yourself.

Good luck with it if that is what you decide to do.
