I am looking for 55 P Bass...... well, there's None in market.
And, heard that it's discontinued.
Is it kinda with defect ? or.... too bad to sell with Custom Shop ?
Please share your knowledge.
Thank you.

You can still find these online, I've seen several. They cost a grip (about $2,500 to $3,000 depending on if relic'd or not).

Another (cheaper) option is the '51 reissue from Fender's "classic" line. It's a production model made in Japan, plays and sounds great, and only costs $650.

The Sting would get you the contours, though both the Sting and the 51 have the early P bass B width neck profile. The 55 has the C width, soft V.

If you're down with a stock model then they are still available. I always wanted to order a Custom Teambuilt, but alas my chance has passed me by.

Here you go -- basscentral.com has a few left:

I knew I'd seen some out there. Question now is whether you want to drop that much coin on one!
