Getting back into playing after several years off and happily found a pristine 2005 ADPV. I had a Precision back in 1977, but always longed for "something more" in terms of tonal options. This bass has that, in spades. I want to play it all the time but also DON'T because it is out of production and they are getting harder to find. Is there any forum for promoting it's re-entering production? Anything that Fender would take note of? I would like a couple more, and a fretless!

I've been looking for one of these for quite a while. Congrats, have any pics. I've posted many times that fender should remake these. Fat chance since the now made the dimension bass.
I just recently traded my 4 string bass for a fender american standard precision 5 string. Black with maple neck. Sounds good but wish I had a second pickup?
Wanted a adp5 with sunburst with rosewood neck.

Thanks. Mine is cherry burst with rosewood. It's my favorite and I also have a Steve Bailey VI and a Roscoe Beck V. I've toyed with the idea of buying a Standard Precision V. Might do it if I can't find another ADPV. I'll post a pic asap.

The 5-string US Deluxe Dimension makes the need for a 5-string P-Bass Deluxe obsolete, that's why Fender doesn't produce an ADP5.

You can get all the sonic benefits of an American Deluxe P-Bass V by tweaking the 3-band EQ and split the coils from the Dimension humbuckers.

Athens! How awesome.
The Dimension basses are cool, but the Precision stands alone in the bass world. Nothing will ever really replace it.
