Man it is tempting.

$525 Canadian and I suppose I have enough room to mod it out any which way and not break the bank.
Bass is pretty much 9.5/10 condition.......I'm stoopid not to take this.

But I agree, the one thing holding me back is the look of a 3 tone burst with tort.......

Hi wtskm,... Fellow canadian here :) Waz up eehh !! I saw a Jazz bass Special for $500. on Craigslist that I considered getting back in the fall,... I thought to myself ... at $500.00 I could then swap out the bridge, pick ups & tuners & the pick guard & also buy a hard shell case...... I then slapped myself back into reality ... for all the extra time & energy I'd spend modding the bass,..not to mention I'd also have to get rid of the Grease Bucket tone control & have a standard tone control installed.
I decided to take a pass on the bass because at the end of the day I think we should never settle,...instead I think you should save up for a bass that rocks your world,.... go to Long & McQuade music & put down a $500.00 deposit on an American Standard & see if you can finance the rest & take it home...... Long & McQuade music is pretty reasonable. :)

Hi james, that pretty much sums up the difference between the Am. Std.'s, an Am. Spl.'s.
