Heh, yea, I agree.
But the folks at MJT finishes did a great job, and communication was very good. The price was reasonable, and the stuck very close to the timeframe they quoted... 8 to 10 weeks. All others I looked at quoted no less than 4 months wait. There are alot of subtlties that just aren't showing in these pics but I am very happy with the end product. Lightly worn with some nice "checking" here and there, too.

Here's a few more pics. The blond finish is very apparent in person, but the camera seems to wash out the white. You can see the wood grain better in the assembly pic.

...and a few more "naked" body shots of the new blond in my life... 8)

I was really thrilled to see the NATURAL stamp under the pickups:Image

And a special thanks to brotherdave for his recommendation to MJT. :P

LUV IT! 8)

Lightly Relic'd White Blonde turned out to be the perfect choice! Lovely.

Thank you.
You know, after I played it and stared at it until the wee hours of the night I told my wife the same thing. I'm actually glad I made this finish choice. I think I actually like the blond better than the natural finish.

What I love, is that you can see the wood grain through the finish. The 19th century American Amish used to do that with their furniture. They wouldn't use stain and then varnish on their furniture as that was far too expensive. Instead, they would thin down oil based paint and give it the very thinest of coats. Almost like a very quick whitewashing with a very broad brush. {think Mark Twain; Tom Sawyer, & Apples} It's a uniquely American finish with deep historical roots. You couldn't have made a better choice. Congratulations & Enjoy!

They did a great job on that bass. I love that finish and you really improved the looks of that bass.

Have a great time playing it.
