Aaahh...Priceless memories, that mold us & make us who we are...

I just bought a vintage, modified precision, PJ, 3-color sunburst. I've had it for two days, and I am having so much fun with it. I don't play bass, but have wanted one so that I can thwomp out bass lines that I learn on my 6-string. Music Center, in Kenosha, WIS actually beat the mega-store promotion going on right now. Plus, it came with a complimentary set up and a knowledgeable and friendly service staff. I did have to special order from Fender, which took three weeks. But, it is exactly what I want, in the color that I want, with the neck that I want, with the pups that I ... you get the idea.

I'd been looking at used basses, and either the entry-level stuff looked so cheap, was abused, or just wasn't something that I wanted to look at in my living room. I sold some over stock (other guitars) and bought new for a good price.

If it wasn't for the 11th. hour, I wouldn't get anything done.

Thanks. 'Just figured out (fingered out?) a couple more rhythm lines. :P

I have moments where I think I should have started with the bass and skipped learning lead. I am a drummer, originally, so I've always liked the role of beat keeper and time driver. The rhythm section does it best, and nobody did it like Entwhistle & Moon.
