Nice bridge but I don't think it was stock on those was it? Isn't that the USA P-Bass Deluxe bridge from Schaller?

Good catch.

This bridge was indeed made by Schaller and does have fine tuners on it. Fender first used those Elite bridges in the early-to-mid 1980s on the Precision Elite I and II.

After the Elite series was dropped in 1984 the employees who bought Fender from CBS decided to use existing leftover parts on the first post-CBS era designs such as the Precision Bass Plus (aka Boner) and the Custom Shop 40th Anniversary P-Bass.

Thanks for the responses, the strings are DR Blacks, yes the bridge was made by Schaller for Fender and was a standard fit on this bass. As you can see the fine tuners are missing. The bass is a Fender Precision Super Deluxe manufactured around 1991.

There's no Super Deluxe. Your bass is a Precision Plus Deluxe with EMGs.

Its a Precision bass Plus Deluxe!

I have a Jazz Bass Plus but I don't know if its a deluxe.

I guess I'll have to post some pictures.

Hey nice bass and welcome to the forum.

I hope you enjoy your Precision Plus Deluxe with EMGs.

The Deluxe Precision Plus has similarities to their Jazz counterparts except the Kubicki EQ is more streamlined lacking off a mid boost/cut and the proprietary active/passive rotary switch - two stacked pots for master volume, pan, treble and bass boost/cut.

Fender's response for those who prefer a P-Bass with the feature set usually found on the Jazz Bass Plus came with their Custom Shop 40th Anniversary models.
