I'm in the market to sell my cerca 72' P-Bass but I'm not able to locate the date stamp anywhere on the bass.

Does anyone know hoe to find the year-made by using the cereal #?

Thanks

Salante

Get the Hal-Leonard history on the Fender Bass. It has everything about idenities through the years. ie serial numbers and where they were located. Plus it is a fabulous read.

Your 72...if it is kept very original is gonna bring possibly 4 grand my friend. These things (must be American) are better than buying stocks.
