I plan to refurbish the P Bass I bought second hand in 1978.
It had been modified at the time (not very well) and I have decided that I will refurbish it to its original condition.

The original color was removed (I have no idea what color it might have been) and the body was given a clear coat.

Is there any way I can find out the colors availble in 1975 so I can choose a body color and pick guard?

The pick up was removed and replaced with a Gibson EB3 pick up so there is a large hole in the body.
I have a P Bass pick up in it now and I plan to get the hole filled or reshaped to the P Bass pick up.

I put a large bassass bridge on it in 1980 and although I know it is a better quality bridge than the original I want to put a '70s bridge back on it.

Is there a difference between fender bridges for P Basses? Is the deluxe version a better option?

Where can I purchase an original pick up cover and bridge cover ?
Were there any changes to design over these covers through the 70's and 80's?

BTW I am in Melbourne Australia.
