Is the RSD Bridge of the CS Precision Bass Pro available as a spare unit?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen it listed as an aftermarket accessory, but you might call Fender and/or the FCS and see if it is.

IMO, (based on personal experience!) it's an excellent bridge.

This is indeed a very sexy bridge...I wouldn't mind having one for my select, but would be satisfied with a Hipshot if I was in the market for an aftermarket bridge.

As I understand the literature I've read about them, they are available only one of two ways at this time. First you can get one when you buy one of the Custom Shop basses on which they come as standard issue. Secondly you can get one by special ordering a one-off Custom Shop bass with the RSD bridge specified in the build.

Sounds like those are the only 2 ways to get one, at least for now.

Due to having the Custom Shop RSD logo on them, we probably won't see them coming to a parts dealer in the immediate future, if ever. At least not with that logo on them.

I know in the past parts reproduced for Custom Shop instruments quickly found their way into general availability such as the chrome pickup and bridge covers for basses, but those parts didn't have the Custom Shop RSD logo on them either. It is possible they will eventually release a non-RSD-logo-engraved version as a part you can buy, but I don't see it happening in the next few years and I'm pretty sure it is not happening with the RSD logo on it.

@brotherdave

Did those RSD bass bridges allow "dual access" string mounting as the HMV or they are top-loaders?

So the RSD bass bridge allows string-thru and top-load mounting.

There's no plan for a 5-string version.

The American Deluxe basses deserve them! :P

Don't know about the 5 string issue. Suspect that since it is a Custom Shop exclusive that getting a Custom Shop issue is the only way to get them for now. Eventually, in years maybe, they'll do a more generic version for mass produced high end Fenders. I'm not holding my breath.
