I have owned this P Bass since about 1985.

I just though I would share it here

I think it may be the same bass as the one Carl is holding in the main photo on the MySpace page that has been set up for him.

Oh its beautiful. Do you know what year? It and the case looks very much like my 1978 PBass.

Carl Radle laid down some of the best basslines ever.

It's a 1972...at least thats the date I remember from the last time the neck was off. I seem to recall it was marked 72.

I should use the SS# to find out for sure. I wonder if anyone here knows how to do that?

Check out the serial number here: www.guitardaterproject.org There is also a link on there to tell a year from neck numbers.

Your guitar was made at the
Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA
in the Year(s): 1973 - 1974

So I was not too far off. I still seem to recall that a date is on the neck. but it's been to long for me to remember.

I just put strings back on it. I had not been playing and had stored it at my dads house for the past 5 years.

One thing more about this Bass. It is the lightest Bass I have ever held.
