I have been rehearsing for a while with my new Standard P Bass (black, maple neck, black pick guard and knobs).

Anyway, I finally got to gig with it. Not only was it the finest looking instrument on the stage, but it performed beyond my expectations.

I only occasionally checked my tuner, then just forgot to check because it always sounded right on the money.

The volume and tone knobs seemed very responsive to the touch and I could hear subtle changes in the mix as I made the rare adjustments.

BTW, I was using my Rumble 150 Combo which I have written about on the Amps Forum.

Obviously, I am very happy with my Fender products!

Alright Chains11!

I hope that you have many more succesful gigs in the future.

Now you can tease those guitar players about needing to upgrade their gear to keep up with you.

Enjoy!!!

But if you are going to tease the guitar players, make sure you talk slowly so they get it.

Glad to hear you're happy. As you might expect, we all kind of like Fender gear too.

Good advice as to communicating with the guitar players, don't even attempt to explain it to the drummer.

That's a big step man. I'm glad it went well for ya'. It's good too that you have confidence with your gear. Image

Be careful around drummers, they throw things.

It is really hard to beat gigging with a P-Bass. Glad it went well. I have black ones, but prefer lighter colors on stage. A good amp and a P-Bass is all it takes.

Just some poor pics of our singer. Guess who was taking pics??
Eventually, I'll get around to posting some gear pics on the forum.

Brother Dave - sometimes a little practice helps, too

The bigness of the Fender adulation here, basswise, is beyond all compression. The light shines from down deep .
