Hi guys. I'm 16 and I'm a student at the Berklee College of Music at the Bass Department ( Steve Bailey is great btw).
I would die for this bass in lefty version , because it's so cool and looks soo good , and I want a Fender bass , but I ain't got $$ for the AM STANDARD , which is the olny damn option we lefties have...

So do you think it's possible that Fender would craft this thing?

No, unless you choose the expensive Custom Shop route.

If you can't afford an American Standard you really won't be able to afford anything custom by Fender .......My advice is to save up for the American Standard P-Bass ( Fender is also giving rebates at the moment) ...you can also try to find a used lefty bass ......you might be able to even find one that was hardly used...
You can also find out if your local music store will let you finance a bass (you'd probably need a co-signer for this option if it's available to you.)
Good Luck in your search for a lefty bass & all the power to you for studying at Berkley College...... that's awaesome..

There's a good place to search and find used gear: eBay.

Thanks for stating the obvious,....we're all aware that Ebay exists ... but not everyone wants to purchase an instrument in this manner,....I know I wouldn't.. :)

Thanks , it's nice , but it's also hard. At the audition I played Power by Marcus Miller. Took one year to learn it.

I just got a great bass off of Ebay. Its a Squire, but it is a J/P lefty and from what the nice people on here say it is a find. For a more expensive bass I wouldnt go the Ebay route I dont think, but a 16 yo student or a noob like me it is a good place to find a deal on something we could not otherwise afford.
