They have pbass pix topic already. As far as the best P, I like the simplicity and extra of the HWY1, not the most expensive, but simple and punchy sound, also the cheapest MIA out there for the Pbass.

Mine looked just like that black beauty until I had to change my pickguard. It cracked right across the jack and it kept "lifting". Now it has a tortoise pickguard. Oh, yeah, I kept the original! It has the same serial # that is on the neck.

I hate that Ibanez. Noisy and lots of fretnoise. I've had it worked on. Its going to the cabin and staying there. It'll be a good campfire bass!

That amp is a oldie too. BASS300C BXR. Bought it seconhand for $380. It kicks major booty.

I bought a brand new Jazz bass in April. Go to the Jazz bass forum to see pics of it.

Image Mine is a 1997 US PBass Deluxe that I special ordered back in 1998. Between the Pbass pickup in the middle and the Jazz humbucker in the bridge it really gives you a lot of options, tone wise. Not to mention the active three band eq and the use of a pan pot as opposed to a select switch. The body is slightly smaller and more contoured for more a more balanced bass. Then there's the combo top load/string through bridge for even more options. Over all I don't think you'll find a more versatile bass. The only thing I wish I could add without changing the intuitive controls is a coil tap for the bridge pickup and maybe a single coil jazz pickup in the neck position.... Maybe

Here's a crappy cell pic of me and my 78' P from a gig a few months ago. Our singer has all our gig pics, I really need to get some. :?
Sorry the quality is so bad. We're playing out again tomorrow night, I'll try and get her to bring some on a disc.

Supposedly there's one out there of me playing my 51RI P Bass from another gig and it looks all trippy because the lights made the Butterscotch Blonde seem red and look like it was on fire...then again our singer is known to "partake", if you know what I mean..
