This bass forum has the best people on it in MHOpinion. I enjoy it more all the time. I think some of the guys just put up with my shenanigans sometimes but they never reem me out for it. They are cool dudes and dude-ettes ( not sure who the girls are - which may not be a surprise) **** see what I mean? I can't stop.

This is the only place in my life where I can talk bass and mingle with others of the same interests. And it's the best for learning and getting the right info.

I'd love to check out that type bass you have but I don't think I have a big enough check for it. ( I'm beyond help)

AMEN! to good peeps on a Fender Bass Fourm!

Save your pop bottles, this Bass is worth it!

It's o.k., we're all here because we enjoy hearing about others stuff, gettig tips to make our gear better and have a laugh sometimes.

Lots of decent people here for the most part.

I don't think you were ranting, strongly stating an opinion, which is fine. of all those who commented, you were the only one who actually played it, right?

As far as those who aren't able to play, there are those who can and those that whine.

Take it for what it's worth and keep posting, you share good stuff.

James-It's an incredibly Cool bass! Standard P-Bass 34" scale body, Incredibly light woods (FCS takes a lot of time choosing) and the nitro Black finish- Wow, just wow.I totally dig relics, but for my FCS, I wanted a non-relic'd bass, & when I saw THIS one- I went ape-s***!The stacked SD's are RIDICULOUS! There's nothing else thumps like those, but they are not a one-trick pony! I can eq to bright modern PUNCH and slap with ease.My main rig for this is a Schroeder PL-212 w the remarkable IMO GK MBFusion.But... I also have amazing all-tube rig:Observe:

HMMM.....I really got to find one of these Basses & take it for a spin,.... :) My local music store (Long & McQuade Music in Vancouver) should be getting one of these puppies in at some point, as they have a huge Bass department & they have been bringing in Custom Shop basses... it Also sounds like you have a couple of nice rigs,... I like the MB Fusion (I am considering getting the MB Fusion 800 at some point as a 2nd head or the TC Electronic RH750 .....the MB Fusion 800 is finally out as of this month so I am going to check it out, there has been a few delays getting it to market)
I am currently using a SWR Headlite & Amplite with a SWR Goliath Jr. 2x10 & a SWR Golight 4x10 Neo cab & I have an extra SWR Workingpro 4x10 cab,....... The Headlite & Amplite are each 400watts & (used together 800w. of power.)
I use a Bronco40 for practicing.

...I mean what else is there but a FENDER Bass??
Everything else is just a variation!
I have some "other" great basses besides my '69 P-Bass, but a FENDER CUSTOM SHOP Bass has always been a bucket list instrument for me; I've seen many beautiful builds out of the Shop-
When I read about, & then saw this axe at NAMM- Glad I had the energy to insist on buying it!
I hope you and everyone who wants to gets a chance to plug in and PLAY one of these!
It's truly a beautiful sound from those Pups, a Precision Bass that is in it's own World!

There is another very fine small builder (whose name I won't mention!) that does a 2- SC Pup build; theirs in a J-Bass body. Very nice work!
But nothing can BE a Fender, but a Fender, and a Fender Custom Shop is the apex!

So to each their own, I respect any player's choice of gear-
But before someone goes running off, MIGHT just be a good idea to play the bass first, eh? :?:

LOTS of amazing Bass rigs out there these days, the SWR headlite is a really tasty looking unit.
Besides my MB Fusion (the "little 500-watt model  ) I have a ThunderFunk TB750A which is a rockin' lead sled I use w/ a Bergantino 4x10, a TecAmp Puma 500 w/ a Genz-Benz Neox 210, and... a ridiculously heavy and cumbersome Mesa-Boogie Buster 210 Wedge that is a PITA to move around, but sounds like (6) 6L6 Heaven!

The PrecPro 2013 KILLS with all of them!

My thinking on one of the subjects mentioned in this thread is...how long was the violin around before the Strad?

I agree that Fender overall produces the best basses for the price over the years they have been doing it.. We know there are all kinds of other Great basses out there. I don't think Fender is worried. Those other companies prob don't come close to the amount of basses Fender sells. I'd say from what I'm not positive of because I don't have the records but I think Fender sells the most musical instruments and gear in the World.

Yes the SWR Headlite is an awesome little unit,......& don't getting me started with how Fender is letting an awesome brand of amp fade into the sunset,......(they're now apparently doing the same thing to Genz Benz)
The MB Fusion is more amp that most of us will ever need,... & I've read some reviews for the MB Fusion 800 where some folks thought it was too much amp but it's nice to have the head room.. however I can't comment on the MB Fusion 800 until I try one.
(& that day is coming soon... 8) ...)
Then it will be time to make a decision between the MB Fusion 800, or TC Electronic RH750 ) I'm actually waiting until October/November in the event that Fender might roll out something exciting ,.........maybe an up graded version of the Rumble 350 head? or a new micro D class amp.....hmmmm but right now it's between the MB Fusion 800 & RH 750.

Besides the wattage and headroom increase, the MB800 Fusion has some changes as to toggles and controls, pretty nice re-design. But I'm more than happy w/ my 500.
TC stuff is very nice as well, the ROCCO unit still intrigues me.

Ok, a FCS JOKE!!:

...Guy goes to a Doctor, says he hasn't been feeling too well. Doc says they'll do some tests, and for him to come back the next morning for the results...

Next day, The Doctor tells him: "Well. I've got some GOOD NEWS ..and some BAD NEWS!..

"OMG, he says, tell me the BAD NEWS first!"

"Well, there's not much we can do for you... You'll probably be DEAD by Midnight!"

"OH NOOOOO... the patient cries!" "What is the GOOD NEWS THEN?!!!"

"Well"-The Doctor Says--- "I just heard from THE FENDER CUSTOM SHOP!
...

"They're shipping my NEW BASS Today!"
