I'm counting on all of you to remind me, all I'm looking for is a strap and stand. if anything else finds it's way home with me, it's your fault!

Happens to me all the time,........I just can't figure out why this happens ...heheheh

oxfan......just wondering

......does those new strings and strap come attached to a new bass?

.......or is this gonna be one of those deals where you purchased a very expensive set of strings and a very expensive strap and they threw in a bass for free?

HA! No straps to my liking, just bought a new stand. I practiced restraint. they did have a cream colored American Standard Precision / rosewood, for $999.99.

I did look for a case, they didn't have anything decent, whew, close one there.

Here's the stand, only thing, it was $2.00 cheaper in the store. Must have given me the senior citizen's discount. I already had one and really liked it, jazz basses are awkward to sit in a conventional stand, they sit in these like they were made for them, and wifey can't knock them over. With my other stands, she HAS knocked my Jazz over.

The kids were there today, four of them all playing at the same time. What was tragic was their tuning up to one another and tey all ended up out of tune. it was sad. I think they gave me a discount becxause of them.

A stand !!! that's it! that's all you bring back to us :( (good restraint by the way) .......... I think you should go back to Guitar Center & get that Cream colored American Standard P -Bass that's calling out your name ....& at the same time it will ease your conscious ....... :P

You know that ain't gonna happen......just ain't got it in me.

I haven't tried one of those stands before. Might look into one next time I need one. Good price on it.

The last one I bought was a Hercules. I really like it. I purchased it with my FCS in mind because of the reason you stated about the Jazz bass's shape and the padding they use isn't suppose to damage the nitro finish. It's very stable too. They are pricey, but to me it's worth it.

Oh by the way, I'm not above asking for the OFD (old fart discount).

I'd hold out for the creme finish P with a maple neck too.

Few tips. If it has the words AMERICAN STANDARD, AMERICAN DELUXE or CUSTOM SHOP in the item name, it isn't a stand or a strap. However a strap is usually included with those.

I was sitting there looking at all of my gear and realized, there really isn't anything else i want, at the moment. Well, I do need a couple cases.

My conscious is clear! Now if that Precision was a sunburst, well, the trip may have ended differently. :D
