It's interesting to see the inner world of the Precision bass. I just don't understand taking one apart for show. Mess around with the soundpost of an upright bass and it changes the tone for the worse. Same goes for removing the neck of a Precision.

I guess a lot of people may enjoy seeing the vids and learning about the basses and that the guys working on the basses can play slap and funk and some cool Jazz licks. That may give them some credibility towards knowing their way around a bass and knowing about old Fender basses. Taking one apart for show is interesting. I'm not in the habit of taking apart my stuff unless I have to. So we can watch these guys do it. That is okay. If they start posting one every day I'll wonder if it's about their being able to play good or what. Anyone can take an old bass apart. They prob won't like me saying that. No offense intended really. I'm just saying personally that I'll lose interest. It's a Fast Food World.
