Hey OX, Congrats man. Decisions, decisions. What string to use, hmmmm. Have you considered what strap to use?

Well there you are! Of course I've decided what strap, what else?

These straps are the equivalent of your D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Tapewound Strings

I know what you mean. I like my Levy's Led Walnut.

@Mr. Nylon

It appears that you recently switched from Fenders to Rickenbackers.

The Mapleglo 4003 you gotta have has lots of Beatles vibe. :P

Inspired by Paul McCartney, Chris Squire and Geddy Lee, I suppose. :wink:

Not sure about the strap you've decided to use,......I think a rope would add a nicer touch... :lol:
Actually I love Levy straps, ......ever go to their website? there's straps in all styles for everyone,..........& they're made in Canada Ehh! :lol:

I really don't go by who plays what. Paul McCartney's Ric 4001 sound has always been a favorite of mine, however. I like the feel of the neck, and the overall balance. The sound is good too. The bridge pup tone control has what Rickenbacker calls a Classic Sound. Pull up the button, you get more of a 4001 sound. I don't want to start the war again about what's the major influence of sound, the bass, or the amp. I'll just say, with my amp the sounds can be tuned in as I like them, with about any bass.

Now about the strings I have on her. :roll: We won't go there. Nylons

I am a huge fan of Levy's products. I'll have to take some pictures of the other straps as they are older models and i can't find them online at the moment. I'm working idiot hours again so it may be a while before getting a chance to do it.

i wonder if Levy's makes a LaBatt or Molson strap.

Great find oxfan......been wanting one of those myself! Congrats! :mrgreen:

Oh and zod, the decal is off centered. They come from the factory that way. If you ever see one that is centered.....run! It's a cheap copy! :D

I'll bet you get really equal tone when playing the root and the 5th, although it might be a bit of a stretch. :lol:

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried the Neotech "Mega Bass Strap" as shown below? All 5 of my basses are equipped with these because it is padded in the right places and distributes the bass weight over a very large area. No sore shoulders and neck - even with a 2 hour set.
