Well, do you have a bass now? Are you just starting out, or an established player looking to upgrade? What type/style music do you like/play? What is your price range?
It is such an easy question to ask, but a little complex to answer. Any more information that you give, the better people can help you.

I have a Washburn bass playing and took five years.
I like hard rock and I would like to buy a fender, but I do not know which model is best for this type of music.
Here in Spain there are few models and why not by which it decided.

I could say two or three models please?

With that vast me, to at least have an idea.

Again thanks and am not know English

Well, price is going to be a lot different in Euros than it is in US$. A Precision Bass would probably what you'd be looking for. The lowest price here in the US is the Standard P Bass (made in Mexico), this of course w/o counting the Squier, just the Fender brand. Some hard rock guys have the Jazz bass too, Geddy, which have his own sig model, Frank Bello also has his own Jazz bass sig. The lowest price for the Jazz bass is also MIM, the Standard Jazz bass. I don't know what models they have in Spain available for sale. Can you do the same thing as you do here in the US, go to a music store and try the different basses and then buy it. I know in Germany you test the stuff you want then they have to order it for you. Good luck.

Made is US Pbasses are usually more than $1000.00. The lowest priced US made is the American Standard - IIRC. Good luck in buying your new bass. 8)

Actually, there are the HWY1 basses, which run about 800 US dollars, or so. (Sorry, I didn't take the time to do the conversion, lazy Americans  )

Every year I'm more and more impressed with the quality of Fender Basses at every level. It's getting to the point now that even Squier's can be looked at as semi-pro instruments, depending on what you're using them for. I'd play everything you can get your hands on, no matter how limited the selection, and don't discount that Standard Series bass off to the side in your local shop. Every Fender now has the ability to be "The One". They're just looking for their bassists.

If you want a MIA Fender, definately check out the new American Standard line of basses. They are very nice, as well as the Highway One's. Different features between the two, and to me the price difference is justified. Hopefully you have an opportunity to try out several different basses before making a decision.

Highway One Precision Bass

Standard Precision Bass

Click on the "Specs" tab under related links and compare the differences.
