Will this one do?? It's my first project bass, has recorded two CD's and went to the IBC in Memphis with me. Passive with front mounted jack.

That's it.

The three Jazz Bass knobs are really the icing to the cake. 8)

Personally I prefer the knurled chrome flat top knobs.

Great looking bass. You did a good job. Hope it sounds as good as it looks.

I've played the black P on 2 gigs. I like it a lot, and it sounds and plays really good.
The P/J plays and sounds great too, and so does my new Jazz Bass, so I'm distracted with that one now too. Deciding which bass to play on any given night could be tough, but it's nice to have a choice. :D

The P/J gives you the versatility you might expect from your other basses.

It looks very stylish with its three Jazz Bass knobs.

Not sure if you plan giving your axe a proper look by dropping some knurled chrome flat-tops.

I don't really plan to put P Bass knobs on the P/J. I like the Jazz knobs because it's easier to tell at a glance where your levels are set. The Jazz knobs make it unique too.
After all it is half Precision and half Jazz. Precision body and Jazz neck, with P and J pickups. And building a bass the way you want it to look is part of the fun of a project bass. What is proper is in the eye of the beholder.

The P/J deserves a Jazz neck with tuxedo cosmetics (white binding and blocks) to compliment the black bakelite knobs.

You guys both did a very nice job on your respective basses.

I like the black pear PG with the black body and I like the Jazz Bass knobs on the Brown Precision.
I hope you both find the gigs you want with those basses.
