Welcome to the forum '66.

Sure is a good feeling when you get to where you can play along to some of your favorite songs. After that it just gets better and better.

I'm sure questions will come up for you as you progress, remember the only stupid question is the one unasked.

You really are lucky to get a Fender P-Bass right off the bat and skip over all the sludge and imitations.

Congrats. You are starting out with a great instrument, and one that will give you a lot of pleasure.

Its never too late and your never too old, The more you put in the more you get out of it, There are plenty of YouTube videos / Books and Magazine tutorials out there to help you on the way,I only wish i had the same advantages whilst i was struggling to work out basslines on a cheap record player many years ago....Best
Wishes Peter :)

Congrats Chris on your new P Bass. You can't go wrong with a P bass...or a Jazz...or a P/J. Be careful though! Gear Aquisition Syndrome (G.A.S.) is likely to follow.
This is the best forum for questions about your Fender gear, among other things.
