I recently got a P-Bass which is a 'couple years old' and has a Warmoth neck. It's an American model, magenta with white pick guard. But seeing as how the neck has been replaced, I have no idea if the body was made in Mexico or USA.

I'd like to get the proper neck for it and t do that, I need to figure out where it was made. Is there any way to tell this for sure just looking at the body?

Thanks!

Hmmm, not that I'm aware of. The only place I know where they write the date is the butt of the neck.

Is it string-through?

Its a pain in the butt, but if you take the neck off and look in the cavity where the neck bolts on, US Fenders will have the makers initials written in pencil...

Hope this helps! :D

While this is good advice, the OP states that there is an aftermarket neck on there.

Very true, but the OP states that the neck was replaced.
