Probably knob hurt the floor ? Could be broken pot ?

Did you feel the knob shaft is loose if you check with other knob ? Need a new pot ?

This could also be a grounding issue if one of the several ground wires soldered to the body of one of the controls broke loose during the impact. It is also possible that the tone capacitor broke away from one of it's solder points or physically cracked. I have seen that happen on at least two occasions since 1963.

Sounds like solder joint or other connectivity issue. I am pretty sure about it. This instrument has a preamp. Some solder joint on the PCB or other connection needs a touch-up. It will take a while to find it. Just wiggle the components on the preamp board and all connections till you find it. Once you do it should be pretty obvious. Then touch up the solder points causing the noise.

A preamp ! You have a good point . Not easy to see if printed crcuit is broken if you don't have skill in electronic,

I just look at this bass diagram and you are right ; Preamp

Pretty sure I remember a song Neil Diamond did about this situation. I think it was called "Cracklin' Noisy."

Ouch!

Anyyyyyyyyway, is a bad contact.
