On the body of the bass.. are the black horizontal lines on the body like the new style? they look like a mark by sharpies..

Maybe a Fender bass is not for you. I'm sorry, but all I have heard from you is a lot of whining about your precision bass. The same bass you just had to have a few months back because you "noticed most of my favorite or most music bands use the Fender P bass over the Jazz bass".

I see no horizontal lines [perpendicular to the upright instrument depicted].

Fully painted Fenders or a two/three tone Bass from another maker are probably more suited for your standards.

He seems to be a bit of a contradictory twit. His post to which you refer (the one about more bands using P or J basses) contradicts itself. Can't get a read on this guy.

Unless it's not a real Fender. There are some out there.

Is this the numb nutz that posted about a pin head sized dent on his bass? I think it's James Bond Wannabe underground wanker intruder .

of course I don't really think that. I think he's a very smart person who is only seeking more knowledge to enable him an understanding of Zen bass.

well I have only heard of such a thing once when someone drew lines on a Fender bass with a Magic Marker. Now that's not a Sharpie but it's close. And it was in 1938.
